HONORS AND AWARDS
Member of the Expert Team on Severe Monsoon Weather, WMO
Advisor , Pakistan Journal of Meteorology
Visiting Professor , Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms, University of Oklahoma, USA

As the first awarding fellow, I received the second award of the natural sciences in Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000.

Direction:
Mesoscale Dynamics: focusing on studying the generalized potential vorticity theory, especially, moist potential vorticity and non-uniform staturated potential vorticity closely linking with torrential rain events and severe storms.
Numerical simulation: mainly targeting to study the relationship between the dymanic tracers and hydrometers in the clouds , and precipitation by using cloud- resolving model.
Wave-meanflow interaction: studying the generalized E-P flux , A-B hybrid equation method for inverstigating the feedback of the meanflow change to waves. And wave action conservation in the mesoscale fields.
